For over 30 years, Beckles Dancing Company has been a consistent force in the Dallas arts community by creating powerful works, training generations of dancers, and making dance accessible to audiences of all ages.

We ask you to join us in Our Mission and Vision: BDC provides a platform where performers and audiences of all ages are inspired to celebrate the techniques and creative powers of dance movement. As such, Beckles Dancing Company is committed to bringing exciting, entertaining and innovative dance to the broadest spectrum of audiences in the Dallas area and beyond. Further, we are committed to training flexible bodies and minds, adaptable to various forms of movement in specialization or in combination.

From our home at the South Dallas Cultural Center, BDC has produced critically acclaimed performances and provided opportunities for dancers to grow and thrive. Our alumni have gone on to perform on stages around the world, from The Lion King national tour to companies across Europe.

Our company of 12 artists, ages 23–53, reflects our belief in the power of intergenerational collaboration. Together, they bring bold, inspiring performances to stages throughout the Dallas area.

Beyond the stage, we remain deeply committed to community outreach—offering free ballet and modern dance classes for our youth ages 5-10 years (in-person only) and our company classes for ages 11 & up, offered both in-person and online, so that dance is accessible to everyone.
